With an all-time high of more than 420 Friends, the Philharmonic is poised for an outstanding 2017-18 season, when we will award more than $50,000 in scholarships to deserving students. We are thrilled to open our season with the renowned soprano Renée Fleming. For Holiday Pops, we welcome the Irish Tenors in what promises to be a unforgettable evening. In the Spring, we perform works from my Library of Congress Project entitled “Unearthing America’s Musical Treasures.” To perform America’s first trumpet concerto, we feature legendary trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. And then we conclude our season in April with Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 and Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf narrated by none other than Henry Winkler! Wow!
